M° Pasquale Menchise

He received degree certificates in Composition; CHORAL MUSIC AND CHOIR DIRECTION, BAND INSTRUMENTATION; CONDUCTING diploma; TEACHING MUSIC EDUCATION diploma; university degree in MUSICOLOGY AND MUSICAL PEDAGOGY: obtained at the State Music Conservatory "N. Piccinni "in Bari, at the State Music Conservatory" L. Cherubini "in Florence, at Wiener Meisterkurse fur Music in Vienna and at the University studies of Macerata, place of Fermo (AP) at the Faculty of Humanities. In addition, at the "E. R. Duni "in Matera, he holds a Degree Level II in CONDUCTING.
During the course of his studies he had as teachers Masters S. Chillemi, F. Donatoni and O. De Lillo for Settlement; Mario Gusella, D. Renzetti, S. Zannerini, R. Brown, Julius Kalmar and Nicholas H. Samale, D. Belardinelli for Conducting; Nino Misasi and Don G. Martellini for band instrumentation, Don G. Martellini and O. De Lillo for Choral Music; M. De Natale, M. Zurletti, K. Morski, S. Geneva M. Sorce Keller, and M. Of the House for the Analysis and Music Education.
He attended five courses of Musicology at the Conservatory "Buzzolla" Adria (RO) for the University of Bologna; and courses of conducting and composition at the Music Academy of Pescara; he holds a Diploma of Advanced Composition in Music for Film and he has written music for the film "Quinto Orazio", and for the restructured film "Cabiria" by G. Pastrone and G. D'Annunzio and other instrumental and vocal compositions. He recorded his compositions for Vatican Radio.
Former Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Potenza with which he conducted in the presence of SS John Paul II,he is the current director of Orchestra da Camera Lucana since 1985 with whom he has given about 450 concerts in Italy and Europe. He has directed on RAI 1, RAI 3 and other private broadcasters.
He was among the directors of the Christmas Concert (2010) in the House of Representatives in Montecitorio and also in Paul VI Hall at the Vatican in Piazza S. Peter on October 28, 2000, he directed in the presence of SS John Paul II, a part of the "MISSA MEDITERRANEAN IN THE TIME JUBILAEI" which he composed, recorded on CD, and in national distribution by Editions "Terzo Millennio" of Rome.
He also conducted the following orchestras: O. Opera playful Trieste (Requiem-Mozart), O. Chamber of Messina, O. Chamber of Matera, O. and Choir Academy of Tirana, O. Tirana Opera and O. Strauss Foggia, Mediterranean Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Plovdiv (Bulgaria), National Symphony Orchestra Romanian "Ion Dimitrescu" ICO Orchestra of Magna Graecia, Orchestra Sinfonica Nacional de Cuba (Havana), Philharmonia Mediterranea di Cosenza, National Philharmonic Dniepropetrovs' k (Ukraine), Hermitage Orchestra of St. Petersburg (Russia) and various soloists.
He directed the works: Traviata, Trovatore, Rigoletto, Aida, Cosi Fan Tutte, La Bohème, Tosca, Turandot, Elisir d'Amore, Cavalleria Rusticana, Pagliacci, Suor Angelica and various works of sacred music. Directed by Michele Mirabella, he conducted the "Servant Mistress" by G.B. Pergolesi and he has reviewed and directed some symphonies F. Stable (1801-1860) on behalf of the 'University Music Basilicata with its production on a DVD.
Last April, he revised, transcribed and edited the performance of the "Via Crucis" by Francesco Stabile, for the first time, 150 years after his death.
He made on behalf of the Japanese "Camerata Tokyo" the 1st recording at Sanctuary of St. Giovanni Rotondo on the occasion of the inauguration of the organ (now the CD is also released in Japan), and on the same occasion he has recorded and performed a song he composed for orchestra, organ and timpani, "Ode to St. Pio" (Elegy for suffering people).
He was awarded the "Silver Tower" for 2010 "HAVE EXPORTED ITS LUCANEITA' THROUGH THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE OF MUSIC EVEN ABROAD and for pride as Lucan for your membership to our land, and for the great emotional bond that you have for our Basilicata. "
He participated as a chorus master, to the production and first world performance of the opera "Telesio" composed and directed by Franco Battiato.
He is Artistic Director of the Lyric Choir of the Province of Potenza.
And 'Master of the Lyric Choir of the Municipal Theatre "A. Rendano "of Cosenza.
He was recently named:
